However, the reason I bought this was to be able to watch movies and play games on it. Unfortunately this requires an adapter that doesn't come with the unit. Other than that, this unit rocks! Its output to my TV was just as good as my other JVC player. I have used it quite a bit and have not had any major issues. The remote works from across the room.Ideal for anyone doing a lot of traveling.Decent battery life and size.Matthew's law applies: 'you pay for what you get'Screen started blinking white. Now it's completely useless. Very disappointing. The included head phones sound good. The picture looks good. Its cheap, at first.I am on my second replacement for a total of three. Coby was hassle free on the first return and then took over three months to return a new one. Newegg had us try to have Coby replace the second one but Coby said the serial number on the bottom was not a serial number, however its the only number on the unit and the registration card for the new one I just got said it is the serial number. So it seems the Coby customer service rep was lying, ignorant, or Coby stopped putting valid serial numbers on their products. I had to use the Newegg extended warranty on the new one (second return.) The Newegg extended warranty is quick and painless once they approve it. I got my new one in about week. The first and second ones both lasted under a year. About 5 and 7 months respectively.

Coby V-Zon Portable DVD Player with sealed manual and original packaging All the original packaging -- even the plastic bags. The screen still has the original screen protection film on it -- so the screen is in perfect shape. The manuals are all still sealed in the original packaging and unopened. It works great! And it has been hardly ever used. You are the light of the world.

See All Buying Options Add to Wish List Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. Sound quality is a little lower than my previous Audiovox under the counter tv (and it was smaller), but still acceptable for the price. Picture quality is good, except for when the picture background is dark-like dark blue or black.then it's difficult to see the picture no matter what the angle of the screen.which is very flexible. DVD player, radio, and tv all work great. I would make this purchase again. They did start shipping longer screws, but I still had to cut my own spacers to mount it. It is designed to be flush mounted under a non-recessed cabinet. Also the depth leaves very little room in the back for connections, but is still manageable. The picture quality is, well sucky. In order to see the screen you really need to be directly in front of it, the old school LCD downfall. Either way it gets rid of the radio on the counter, and gives us FoodTV in the kitchen now, so for the price its not bad. Cheaper than a laptop or a TV and folds up. Please try again later. This TV had no picture or video at all right out of the box!! I reported this to Coby again. I objected and asked for an immediate replacement, with Coby paying shipping and handling. Coby said they would consider my request and let me know. By the end of December 2009, I had heard nothing back from them-- even after 5 faxes, three e-mails and two phone calls asking them to uphold the terms of their warranty.

HD reception is decent, even with a cheap antenna. Now, if I could only see the picture. The remote control is very crowded and unreadable. Rather than just putting the basic buttons on it, they put every possible feature and then some. Unfortunately, you must use the remote for some functions as the buttons aren't on the system. One last annoying feature - in order to eject the DVD, you have to switch the Mode to DVD, wait for the countdown, then press eject. Save your money! Please try again later. Please try again later. Nutmeg 4.0 out of 5 stars Sound quality is a little lower than my previous Audiovox under the counter tv (and it was smaller), but still acceptable for the price. I would make this purchase again. Please try again later. Please try again later. D. Black 4.0 out of 5 stars Researched on the net, found this COBY. Mounting took a little time, but even with spacers, the screws were long enough. The remote has a magnet, the sound and picture are fine. The digital clock now stays on even when the unit is off. One point, the instruction booklet was difficult to use. That's great customer service.I am very satisfied. Please try again later. Please try again later. Michael T. Min 3.0 out of 5 stars TV reception could also have been better, but since the unit was mounted under a cabinet, it was difficult to place the antenna wire. It would have been better to have used a co-axial jack so that digital off the air programming could be received. Perhaps better materials could have been used. The plastic housing around the screen deformed from being in close proximity to the toaster which sits on the counter, just under the cabinet. Please try again later. Please try again later. William E. Jouris 5.0 out of 5 stars I bought her this unit as a gift. The installation was simple enough and once you got used to the setup and controls it has worked flawlessly. The picture, of course, is much better than that of her old TV and is in color. The sound is also good.

I finally took action and disputed payment for the TV with my credit card company under their extended warranty and customer satisfaction provisions. Then after filing a complaint with Amazon.com about Coby, Amazon came to the rescue and offered me a full refund with shipping and handling costs included. Thank you Amazon, no thanks to Coby. Given this, I will never buy another Coby product, ever. And on top of this, I went to Sears and bought my wife an Audiovox undercounter TV to finally get her one. It has a beautiful picture, almost HD quality, and excellent sound for a little under-cabinet kitchen TV. My wife loves it. So -- lesson learned-- if you want a good under-cabinet TV, buy Audiovox, not Coby!!Please try again later. Please try again later. Castaway Reviewer 3.0 out of 5 stars I hated having to drill through my cabinets. And I used the packing Styrofoam as the spacers. Worked real well. Easy to cut with a sharp knife. On DVD play, to get the best picture I had to adjust the contrast and brightness to high. Then angle the screen just right. Sometimes, sound is not in-sync with picture. Stopping then restarting the DVD usually corrects this. Clocks runs fast. If you leave it on too long, have to unplug it to get it to shut-off. I got this for a great price from Amazon. So for as often we use this, the inconveniences are worth the trouble. Please try again later. Please try again later. P. Brisky 1.0 out of 5 stars The LCD video is extremely dim except for a very small angle viewed directly ahead. I spent a good half hour adjusting it because the colors, contrast and brightness were so bad. Even after adjustment, it was still too difficult to watch except straight ahead. DVDs are almost impossible to watch because DVDs are normally so much darker anyway. Sound is very good and I can hear it in my den very clearly a good 20 feet away. A very annoying feature is the big delay when you turn it on and when you change modes and have to go to either DVD or TV.

The FM and AM radios work flawlessly for me with clear channels coming in. The dvd player also worked fine with a clear picture. The remote control is indeed magnetic and is not the strongest magnet you are going to find. If you carefully place it on the fridge (not quickly throwing it on there) then it holds fine without sliding. The screen magnet is indeed a bit weak also. I will probably add a magnet to it to better secure the screen when it is placed up and not in use. The sound is fine for me. There are actually quite a few setting options on this unit that include picture setting (you can adjust a few picture settings such as contrast and brightness) although mine looked fine right out of the box. It also has an auto tuner for the tv that was able to search and find all of my cable stations once I plugged in the cable. I have not tried the tv with a standard tv antenna as I have access to cable tv in my kitchen and went that route. BTW in terms of channel auto tuning--I read some reviews on another model made by COBY that people were not able to run the auto channel search after doing it the first time when you intitally set it up and the power would go out or you had to retune for whatever reason. You can run the auto scan anytime you want on this tv and it seems to work fine even with the power going out a few times with this tv. There are not alot of options out there in terms of under-the-cabinet tvs and I did quite a bit of research before deciding to purchase this one. I settled on this one because the price was right and it had a large screen on it. I was somewhat turned off by all the negative reviews for most of the under-the-cabinet tvs but I am glad I decided to purchase this one as I am very happy with what I got. It looks really nice hanging in my kitchen and it doesn't take any space at all when folded up. I have only had the unit for a couple weeks so if I have any problems in the future I will be sure to update.

Overall we are very pleased with the unit. Please try again later. Please try again later. H. Thompson 5.0 out of 5 stars It arrived on Tuesday. Regular UPS shipping. That in itself was amazing. After installing it, which was easy, I was having trouble getting my channels to be recognized. I called technical support. I spoke with someone I could understand and he walked me through the steps to get it set up properly. In less than 10 minutes everything was working properly. The unit is exactly as advertised. I'm very pleased. Please try again later. Please try again later. Piranha6 2.0 out of 5 stars However, i connected the cable to the unit and was very dissatisfied with the clarity and resolution of the video. I tried to adjust everything on it but the results were too terrible that I returned the unit. It weighed very little so it felt under powered and too flimsy. Please try again later. Model: KTFDVD1560 To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. Please try again later. This is a small 15 inch LCD tv that is meant for a kitchen and delivers all the features that you would want in a kitchen in a compact design. With that in mind, it is perfect. I ran my Insight cable to the tv and the picture is great. Obviously the digital channels that come in from cable look substantially better than the standard cable tv channels. It is like this with most digital LCD tvs though. WIth that said, the digital channels that I do have have a suprisingly really good picture.

But as of this moment, I would highly recommend this for anyone who has realistic expectations for a LCD tv that is truly meant for the kitchen. I am enjoying it and suggest anyone on the fence to give it a try.I did quite a bit of research into an under-the-cabinet-TV and found out what many have--there aren't a lot of options. This is a decent TV that mostly does what I bought it for. It's in the kitchen, I have it on while making meals. The Pros: - The screen size of 15.6 inches is ideal for the application - The installation was easy. You really have to be straight on it or the image is distorted. This was an LED problem in general for a while, and this set has old technology - You have to hit additional buttons to turn on the TV, as the default is DVD. This is annoying, and results in additional wear and tear on the unit buttons. It's a poor design flaw. - The volume max is low. I have it maxed to watch TV, but if you turn on the radio, it's too loud. - The radio is lousy. It tunes in stations just fine, but the audio quality would make an AM radio from a '72 Chevy Nova embarrased. I don't use the radio anyway. - The remote has 10,000 buttons, three of which you actually need. And it's the size of a playing card, so do the math. Summary: I'm reasonably pleased with this, and would buy it again given the lack of alternatives. If you have the funds, go higher end if you can find one.Unless you stay in one place in your kitchen, you'll have to keep swiveling the screen to be able to see the picture. The manual is in 4-point type - virtually unreadable. I was forced to find the manual online and expand it to 200% to get the instructions I needed. When you turn it off, even if you were watching television, you come back to DVD mode when you turn it back on. Changing the mode is not simple - it requires a few steps. I just leave it on all the time instead of fighting with it to get it to TV mode. I'm also not using it in the kitchen after all.

I expected to get closed captioning since the description said subtitles were available. My mistake - that ONLY means subtitles for DVDs. I'm extremely disappointed and unhappy with this product. On the other hand, if you don't care whether you can see the picture, want to use it mainly for DVDs, don't ever make any noise that would make you want closed captioning, and have perfect eyesight, you might like it. I dislike it so much that I'm already looking for a better product to fit my needs.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again This TV has a large jump in volume between too low, and too high. Image quality is OK, but the TV stopped working after the warranty period. I'd previously had another brand that lasted a bit longer, but I think I've given up on flip-down TVs.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. But how does it stack up to the other 15 inch screens out there? At 15.6 inches the wide screen TFT LCD panel is one of the biggest in the under cabinet form factor. This makes it a good alternative to anyone considering the Venturer KLV3915 or RCA SPS36123. Like all under cabinet TVs the KTFDVD1560 is permanently attached to the underside of a cabinet. And just like your home the three most important factors to consider before buying are location, location, location. For trouble-free enjoyment it pays to carefully select a suitable spot that offers unobstructed views and is out of the way. Don't forget you will also need a nearby power socket and cable jack. Coby include a mounting kit that includes bolts, spacers and a handy template you can use to position the drill holes correctly. If you plan on using the bottom shelf of the cabinet afterward we recommend replacing the mounting bolts with counter sunk heads as these will fit flush and avoid things like plates and glasses from getting chipped or falling over. The Coby KTFDVD1560 packs a lot of features in a small space that will appeal to a wide range of home cooks.

Spend a little extra money to get something that works with a brand name you can trust. Please try again later. From the United StatesI think the reason it's so cheap is that it's the only way they can sell it. 1--- The only redeaming quality is the picture. It's good most of the time. It does flicker now and then when changing (cable) channels. 2--- The sound quality is atrocious. There is absoulutely no mid or low range and there is no audio out connection. So you can't connect it to surround sound. 3--- The connections are really difficult to get to. They point down and are flat against the back. Even connecting HDMI was a chore trying to find the slot. You can't see it unless the TV is upside down. So you have to feel your way around it. 4--- The HDMI connections are sensitive. Wiggle the cables and you'll lose the signal. Don't use the rotating stand of the TV (one of the cool qualities) or you'll lose the signal. 5--- THAT FREAKING BLUE LIGHT!!! You can turn it off when the TV is on but when the TV is off, it comes back on. At night, in bed, it lights up the whole room. I'm not exagerating. Do a Google search for Coby TV Blue Light and you'll find other annoyed owners with the same issue. They say there's a fix. It's not true. At least not for this model. You can cover it up (with tape) but then guess what. The remote won't work. Do not buy this TV for the bedroom. Negative, I know. But honest, too. Looking back, I should have bought a better (smaller) TV than this one. Don't make my mistake. Please try again later. Please try again later. Debra 1.0 out of 5 stars It would be hard to return it and look rude. That being said, the speakers are horrible. They may be better if the tv is mounted to the wall, so that it can reflect off of the wall, but if it is on a swivel mount, you will need a sound bar. The picture quality is just fair, we have better pictures on our 6 year old LED downstairs. The DVD player is slow and does not read everything correctly.

I have tried turn it on and off. I even took it upstairs and plugged into another outlet. Same result. No PIcture just sound. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. See All Buying Options Add to Wish List Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. The reviews were good not only on Amazon site but elsewhere as well. The picture and sound are great, easy to set up and very easy to use. It's very nice looking as well (doesn't look cheap) and we have been loving it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for just a great TV (without needing all the extra special bells and whistles) to get this TV. I found out why, the tuner on the TV is horrible and cannot be fixed. The only way to enjoy this TV is if you have a cable box or if you are watching a DVD. Every channel is horrible because the channel looses its voice and acts like the cable connection is loose. I had my cable company come to fix it, but they said they get a lot of complaints from their customers about this TV. When I called Coby, they could care less. They wanted me to dismount the TV and ship it to them because they wouldn't pay to have someone come check it out. Coby obviously does not stand by their prodcuts and it's probably because they are a cheap knockoff of Sony, Phillips or Panasonic.

0 out of 5 stars The problem is that the picture is washed out and the TV contrast ratio and black levels are not good. This is my young daughters TV. I bought it cuz I wanted a smaller set than the one she has and didn't want to spend a lot of money. But I bought this from Geeks.com. I am very pleased with their customer support. Last thing is that on comcast.com Coby has NO cable remote codes from Comcast (and apparently satellite TV either.) I searched everywhere else and found nothing. The good news is that if you auto-find the code it will eventually work. And it was faster than I thought. It only took about 5-10 tries before I got the correct one. For the price yopu just can't beat this TV. However, if you are a stickler for video quality then dig deeper in your pockets and buy something else. Overall I gave the TV 3-stars since what can you expect out of a Please try again later. Please try again later. Erica 1.0 out of 5 stars After a few months the TV WILL STOP WORKING trust me. The blue light still comes on but no picture or sound. I've read on other websites that people are having the same problem as me. Coby said they will ONLY cover the labor for 90 days. After the 90 days (still within the year warranty) Coby will only take care of parts, so you will have to take it to a repair shop for them to do the labor. When I went to the repair shop the man told me that the labor will be more than what I paid for the TV. He told me that I should complain to Coby and try to get them to send me a new TV. After I complained to Coby about the labor being more than the TV they sent me an email to send it back.I've already informed Amazon that they need to think twice about selling it to their customers. Please try again later. 0 out of 5 stars I didn't even pay attention to it being a 720p TV when I purchased it so I ran it in 1080p for the past year until I hooked up my PC to the TV via HDMI and discovered the TV actually runs in 1856x1024. That's cool, close enough right. Wrong, eventually my Xbox will no longer post I figured HDMI ports were screwy so I did some research discovered my TV is actually 720p. I reset Xbox display settings from 1080p to 1080i and it posts. I don't understand how a resolution can just stop working though nothing can run in 1080p any longer. I now run in 720p, this along with the terribly unpredictable audio levels make me want to kick this TV into the wall. However it being able to display above its specified resolution is nice. Just an irritating experience overall. Please try again later. Please try again later. J. Todd 2.0 out of 5 stars The picture is nice but the audio is a little tinny like other reviewers have stated. The biggest issue we have has been a malfunction with the TV which started about 3-4 weeks after purchase. About once a week, the TV will not turn on and we have to unplug it so it will reset. I have contacted the manufacturer who said this is a common problem. I would choose another set if I could return this one, but I'm stuck with it.Please try again later. Please try again later. YUTERU 2.0 out of 5 stars I don't really like it but it's ok for a spare room or bedroom if you are not too concerned with picture quality or volume. This tv is absolutely not for those looking for high quality (or even middling) HD movie or game playing. Pros: - This tv is a very light flat screen lcd. It can easily be carried around to multiple rooms and has a relatively low profile for sitting on a dresser or desk. - It has 3 HDMI and 2 Component for HD sources. The built in tuner works fine for me with an antenna. Depending on your reception and location this can vary. Cons: - The picture quality is passable.

It is also a bit hard to understand which side is up and down, seeing as it is sideways. All of that being said, after just 2 years (remember, there is a 6 year old Phillips set downstairs) it died. First the remote stopped working, second the picture would flicker and go blank. After a while the sound went as well. Just up and died. Not worth fixing. I'd rather just get a smart TV. Save your money on this. I just bought a smart tv from samsung for 325.00.Please try again later. Please try again later. Edward Hauser 3.0 out of 5 stars It is bearable and most LCD TV's are not going to have the best sound. I purchased a sound bar and will see if that is better when it arrives. Now, the biggest problem is after two days of use, we couldn't get it to turn on. As soon as you hit the power button, the blue power LED goes out and nothing else happens. The only remedy we found was to unplug it and immediately plug it back in, and it works. Not sure how long the TV would last doing this, there is obviously something wrong with it and could cause it to stop turning on completely in the future. Since it is only a week old, we are returning it to Best Buy and hopefully can get a replacement that works. If it does the same thing, then I will have to reduce the stars I gave the product. Hopefully this is not that common and I just happened to get one of the lemons. I would recommend an extended warranty if you purchase this TV. UPDATE: After a little more troubleshooting, it seems like it is my TiVo Remote that is causing the issue. I programmed it to turn on the Coby TV, and when I use it, it sometimes causes the issue. Haven't had it happen yet using the remote that came with the tv. Might be something to try. I am going to give it a little while longer before returning it.Please try again later. Please try again later. Dombrowski Family 1.0 out of 5 stars I received a COBY television as a present, however, there was an issue with the sound.

The sound on the tv did not go very high and therefore I wanted to contact customer service to see if there was an upgrade or something I could do to fix it. I called the number that is listed on their website (877-302-2629) and it is just an automated recording that tells you for customer support, go to the website. I sent another email today and doubt I will get a response. I also went onto their Facebook page, which specifically had to state that they do not handle any customer service issues. There is a customer service tab on their FB page that leads to NOTHING. If you read the ALL of the comments on items that have been posted on FB, it is ALL complaints from people about broken products and non existent customer service. It is very disappointing that this company is able to treat customers the way they do.Please try again later. Please try again later. Frank M 1.0 out of 5 stars Hook up was simple with no problems. The speakers were a bit tinny but adjusting the bass helped some. The picture was very good. I was going to use it in office and it was perfect size. Both my wife and I thought for the price it was a good value. It was on for the rest of day and evening but when turned on the next day the video came on for about 5 minutes and then went blank. We could not get to respond to anything. If turned off and back on it would last about 5 or 10 seconds and then go off. Before taking it back I decided to check out the other one purchased for our son. It was WORST! After about 5 minutes BOTH audio and video went out. It would not come on using remote or manual controls. So we ended taking both back. Maybe one could be a fluke, but two I believe indicates a major flaw with the TV'S. When I took them back to Fry's I asked the person if they had many returns and he replied they did. I purchased these largely on the positive responses here but it certainly did not turn out positive for us.Please try again later. Please try again later. CDC 3.

In my eyes the colors are not accurate, I see a red push. Blacks are not very deep and combined with a bad viewing angle the picture looks washed out almost everywhere you sit. Movies and games with dark scenes are very hard to watch or play. There are not a lot of options on the set that would help you mitigate any of these problems. - The picture is not very sharp. This is especially evident with console gaming. There is lots of blooming and it reminds me of playing on a traditional SD tube tv. Also this set is not 1080p. It my be able to take a 1080p signal and downconvert it to 720p, but you are not viewing a true 1080p picture. - The volume is incredibly loud. Even on the lowest possible setting this tv will be too loud for discreet viewing if you have spouse or roommate who is trying to sleep. There is no audio out either, so no chance for you to hook this up to a stereo receiver or home theater receiver. - The HDMI ports are recessed behind a plastic cut-out. What's the big deal. The cut-out is very narrow and many HDMI cables have a head larger than the cut out. This ensures that the male end never completely plugs in flush to the female end. Some cables I am not able to complete the connection. With others I have to apply force and wiggle until I finally get picture and sound. The connection is not very secure and sometimes falls out. If you can get this tv relatively cheap it may be worthwhile for you as a backup or second room tv. At the writing of this review you can probably find a better alternative for about the same price this set is currently being sold at on Amazon.
